My husband is 82 and I am 80; we have been attending regular Pilates sessions with Annie. We both think Annie is a very effective instructor. She is always careful to modify our exercises to accommodate our ages and physical limitations. I am Marty, a 72 year old woman, and an entrepreneur. I enjoy being an active artist, and have been a devoted gardener my entire life. In the past I was not the type of person to do any type of organized exercise – no gym memberships for me! Then somewhere along the line I injured myself.
For years I bounced between standard physical therapy and the chiropractor. Both worked short term, but I found myself unable to keep up with the lifestyle I wanted. “Work on your core” was the advice I was constantly given. In a determined moment I joined a local club. I soon found out – again – how much I dislike repetitive exercise; however, I was fortunate that soon after I found Annie.
Fast forward 10 years – I am still working with Annie. That should say it all – the anti-gym woman has kept up with her weekly sessions for 10 years, because Annie is a delightfully engaging person, full of concrete physiological knowledge, and a great coach. Over that time, I have ceased to need the Chiropractor and have not had the need for physical therapy. I do not mean to imply there have been no aches and pains, but because of my weekly sessions with Annie they usually dissipate quickly. Other injuries have come and gone over the years on this 72-year-old body, but Annie has been excellent at putting together targeted exercises and stretching routines mixed with coaching that allow my body to heal naturally. My sessions stretch my mind, my body and challenge my coordination. Annie’s coaching has helped me work through my sedentary tendencies. Because of this I have been able to maintain my active life and engage in all my favorite hobbies.
My Zoom sessions keep me moving and connected during this stressful time. They are well-structured, always interesting, and always lively. I am a huge fan of Annie and her coaching and teaching model and recommend it to anyone thinking of starting an exercise and coaching program they can continue for years to come.

I have a long history of sports injuries, surgeries and chronic pain issues in my lower back and hips. I also have a desk job, where I work long hours hunched over my keyboard. I had done every type of physical therapy and alternative medicine with very little improvement. I have been working with Annie for several years doing Pilates and my pain levels have dramatically improved from the time I started. Her knowledge of the body and attention to detail have been instrumental in improving my quality of life.
I have been doing Pilates for the past 13 years and have worked with a number of different instructors. Working with Annie has exceeded my expectations. As an instructor Annie pays attention to the individual and the body she is working with; Annie tailors the exercises to what is right for each person, not what the repertoire is for everyone. I have been taking Pilates sessions with Annie for 3.5 years and can honestly say she is outstanding. During my career as an elite level gymnast I had countless injuries and surgeries. A severe lower back injury and chronic pain forced me to retire in 2002. With Annie’s extensive knowledge, listening and understanding my back pain slowly improved on a daily basis. I have been working with Annie since 2008. Initially, I began this workout for other reasons, but after the birth of my son in 2009, I needed to rebuild the core strength and flexibility I had lost during my pregnancy. Not only did Annie personalize a workout for the changing needs of my body, she also suggested several books and articles that explained what was going on with my body.
