Pilates for All offers all new clients one complimentary private session. Please come for your first session dressed in comfortable workout attire. If you wear shorts please wear biker shorts underneath. Pilates is done either barefoot or in socks, so no shoes are needed. We recommend that you come with a full bottle of water. Your first session will include a new client intake and an introduction to Pilates and or Active Isolated Stretching. Before entering group classes we highly recommend but do not require an assessment as well as one introductory package of private sessions.
Our primary goal in doing an assessment is to get to know you and your body. After discussing all of your goals, any possible aches, pains, and injuries we will assess your strength, flexibility, joint range of motion, posture, and balance. As we move through your assessment we will discuss all that we have found. Your body has a blueprint design; the further away you get from this blueprint the less functional you become. We will end the assessment by suggesting a program that works best for you.
You and your instructor will look closely at your health and fitness goals. Together we will define your goals and why they are important to you. If you are having trouble reaching your goals we will examine the things getting in your way. We will discuss who you have to support you in reaching your goals and what you need from them. We will also discuss what you need from your instructor. Most importantly we will layout the things you can do to help yourself. We will finish by creating an action plan that will bring you closer to achieving the goals we have discussed.
Private one-on-one sessions are tailored to fit you and your body. Great for everyone, but highly recommended for those who are struggling with injuries and/or daily/chronic pain and those working toward achieving specific fitness or athletic performance goals.
Private sessions offer an introduction to Pilates and Active Isolated Stretching (AIS), they are also a great way to make your goals a reality!
Duet sessions are a great way to spend much needed time with a coworker, friend, family member, or partner while getting fit and healthy. This is a budget-friendly way to receive personalized attention and instruction. The Duet session will focus on the changing needs of you and your partner.
If you are looking for a class but would still like to receive personalized attention you will love our small three person reformer classes. We can pair you or you can create your own class.
The Reformer is a universal piece of exercise equipment based on pulleys and springs, used to increase whole body strength and flexibility. The Reformer offers you a joint friendly, impact free strength-training workout. It also offers a comfortable and supportive carriage bed to work on. You can now do strength training without all of the impact on your joints. The Trio Reformer class is a unique blend of Pilates and Active Isolated Stretching (AIS).
Our mixed level mat classes are appropriate for most, offering many modifications to either protect or challenge most bodies. Mat classes are performed on the floor using your own body weight and gravity as resistance. Small props may also be used to create an additional challenge. Like the Trio Reformer class, our Mat classes are also a unique blend of Pilates and Active Isolated Stretching (AIS).
All of the classes at Pilates For All are designed to provide your body with a strong foundation. We keep our classes small so that all participants receive the attention they deserve.
